Confirmed West Ham starting XI vs Crystal Palace; Potter drops key man and changes formation

Confirmed West Ham starting XI vs Crystal Palace. West Ham United play host to Crystal Palace in the Premier League this afternoon, and Graham Potter has named his starting XI for the game.

Since Graham Potter arrived at the London Stadium nine days ago, the West Ham players have made big improvements.

Their performances have been far more intense, aggressive, cohesive and there have actually been discernible patterns of play on display! The Hammers players have already really bought into Potter’s methods.

West Ham are looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season, when we welcome Crystal Palace to the London Stadium. Today’s clash will be an extremely difficult one though.

Palace are a much-improved side and are a well organised unit under the guidance of Oliver Glasner.

So how has Potter lined up for the visit of the Eagles?

Confirmed West Ham starting XI vs Crystal Palace

The Hammers really need a win today, if we are to have any chance of chasing down the European places. Palace will fancy their chances against us, with so many key West Ham players missing.

However, I think we should be looking to take the game to the visitors.

Here’s how Potter has set up his Hammers team for the Eagles clash, as confirmed by the club’s official website: Kilman, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Aaron Cresswell, Emerson Palmieri, Edson Alvarez, Guido Rodriguez, Tomas Soucek, Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta

Aaron Cresswell comes in for Carlos Soler, a really questionable move from Potter.

There is also a change of formation seemingly, with what looks like a 3-5-2 from the Hammers head coach. Let’s see how that one pans out.

That West Ham starting XI is more than good enough to get what would be a vital three points against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

I want to see an intense performance from the boys at the London Stadium today.

They absolutely have to impose themselves onto the contest from the very first whistle.

    I’m going for a 2-1 West Ham win – COYI X.
