‘Concrete possibility’: There’s a real chance that Tottenham bid for £60m Portugal star soon – journalist

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a number of exciting attacking players at the moment.

From Eberechi Eze to Jonathan David, Spurs are interested in a number of brilliant, young attacking players.

Pedro Neto is another player who has been linked to Tottenham as of late, and speaking on The Wolfpack, Ben Jacobs has shared some insight into Spurs’ interest in Neto.

Tottenham could bid for Pedro Neto

Jacobs spoke about the £60m man, claiming that he’d be surprised if Tottenham don’t make an approach to sign Neto during this window.

“The plan is to keep Pedro Neto, but it would be a surprise if between now and the end of the window Spurs don’t make some approach to test the waters there,” Jacobs said.

“With PSG it’s just a discussion, they’re talking about other targets. I think there is a concrete possibility that Spurs come calling.”

    Neto would be incredible

Pedro Neto would be fantastic in this Tottenham team under Ange Postecoglou.

The Portugal star is just the type of player Postecoglou loves.

He possesses serious speed, he loves to run with the ball, and while his end product could do with some work, his finishing has improved in recent times.

Of course, if Neto did sign there’d be a question as to where he fits into this squad.

Dejan Kulusevski is the starter down the right side, while Brennan Johnson can also do a job in that position.

There’s a strong case to make that Neto could start ahead of either of those players, but, at the same time, there may have to be a departure in order to keep the squad balance.

Jacobs says that Spurs could move for Neto before the transfer window is over, so watch this space.

Neto would be ideal for this Tottenham team, and he’s certainly worthy of a move to a top club.
