Frank McAvennie wants West Ham United to sort out the future of manager David Moyes “quickly,” whether that means he stays at the club or not.
As per talkSPORT (6 November), it is unlikely that the Scot will be offered a new contract when his current deal expires next summer.
The East London outfit currently occupy ninth place in the Premier League table and are top of their Europa League group.
Speaking to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said: “You know what you’re getting with Moyes. Whether that’s the same next year or not I don’t know.
“I don’t know what’s happening with Moyes whether he’s going to be staying or not. I’d like to get it done quickly, whether he’s staying or not.
“There are some good managers out there who have come into the Premier League and not done anything, so I don’t know who we should be looking at. As long as it’s not one of these boring people that they drag out, the usual suspects, we don’t want that.”
The Hammers have certainly not been poor this season, but perhaps many fans would have liked their club to be sitting higher in the league table at this moment in time.
The London Stadium outfit are, however, flying high in Europe once more, having won the Europa Conference League last season.
Moyes guided the Hammers to that memorable victory against Fiorentina, but it remains to be seen what happens to the man in the dugout over the coming months.
