Big problem for West Ham as Premier League make official announcement ahead of Fulham clash

Big problem for West Ham as Premier League make official announcement ahead of Fulham clash. West Ham United travel to West London to take on Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.

West Ham have lost two and won one of our opening three Premier League games, and Fulham are currently sitting one point and one place above us in the table.

Julen Lopetegui has a fantastic squad at his disposal now, and big things are expected of the West Ham head coach at the London Stadium.

The Spaniard is allegedly not done with his transfer business either, and is said to be still eyeing up potential free transfers.

Exciting times lie ahead for the Hammers, but a result against Fulham this week is very much needed in my opinion. A defeat would put us up against it, despite the fact that we’re only one month into the new season.

And ahead of the Fulham clash, West Ham have been dealt a big blow it seems. Problem for West Ham after Premier League announcement ahead of Fulham. Craven Cottage is always a tough place to go for every club in the Premier League.

We’ve only won their twice since 2010, and were battered 5-0 away at Fulham last season. I have a feeling that we could be in for a tough afternoon this time around as well.

Tim Robinson has been named as the referee for our clash with Fulham, as confirmed by the Premier League’s official website..

This is such a big blow as far as I’m concerned, after his awful showing in charge of the West Ham vs Bournemouth clash back in February.

The 39-year-old was clueless and completely off the pace. He refused to punish any of the Bournemouth players for persistent fouls whilst he seemed to blow up for every single challenge our players made.

Robinson failed to allow the game to flow and he topped off his shocking performance by failing to award us a spot-kick in the second-half – a decision that was eventually overturned by VAR.

When Mohammed Kudus was brought down, it was the most obvious penalty you could ever wish to award – not for Robinson though.

He was also on VAR duty during out clash with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last season, and oversaw some horrendous decisions.

My main problem with this is that when the Premier League’s biggest clubs have bad decisions given against them, they campaign to have the officials responsible not officiate any of their future games.

West Ham should be asking the Premier League serious questions as to why Tim Robinson has been named as the referee for our game against Fulham this weekend. Hopefully he performs better than he did when he last officiated a Hammers game.

    Tim Robinson West Ham record

The referee has been in charge of three West Ham games.

We drew one, at home to Bournemouth, lost one away to Liverpool and won one away at AFC Wimbledon way back in 2018. Robinson has dished out three yellow cards for our players in those games.

Let’s hope that he changes the narrative during the Fulham vs West Ham Premier League clash on Saturday with a good performance. A win for the Hammers is a must, but it will be nigh on impossible if Robinson performs below the required standard once again.
