Arsenal will turned down any bid for midfielder -maintain he is not for sale

Arsenal will turn down any offers for Jorginho from the Turkish Süper Lig with the midfielder not for sale.

The football faithfuls reports that Galatasaray are reportedly targeting the Italy international ahead of the closure of the Turkish transfer window on September 13th.

The Istanbul outfit are continuing to pursue deals and have targeted several Premier League midfielders this summer, with moves for Manchester United duo Casemiro and Scott McTominay, who has since joined Napoli, failing to materialise.

Jorginho has now emerged as an option for the Turkish champions, in the hope Arsenal could entertain offers following the summer signing of Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad.

However, talkSPORT are reporting that the Gunners will turn down all bids for the 32-year-old with Jorginho not for sale.

Arsenal would be unable to replace the Italian with the transfer window closed for English clubs and Mikel Arteta does not want to deplete his squad without replacements.

Jorginho made just 10 league starts for the North London side last season and was linked with a return to Serie A earlier in the summer. He is yet to feature in the Premier League so far this season and has been an unused substitute for each of Arsenal’s three fixtures.

He signed a new short-term contract with Arsenal in May, with Arteta insisting the experienced midfielder was a key part of the club’s plans.

Not for sale – Jorginho deemed ‘important part’ of Arsenal team

“We’re delighted that Jorgi has signed a new contract with us,” he told the club’s official website earlier this year.

“Jorgi is such an important part of our team, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique playing style ability which makes everybody better around him on the pitch.”

Soccer4u sees Jorgi as an important part of the gunners side and would like the team to keep him in cases like now with the injury of Merino and suspension of Declan Rice
