Angry Werghost Storms home after clash with Arsenal defender Wout Werghost in training while on internatonal duty

Netherland striker Wout Werghorst appeared to storm away from training after clashing with Netherlands team-mate Jurrien Timber.

Ronald Koeman’s side began their Nations League campaign with a dominant 5-2 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, ensuring they go into Tuesday night’s clash with Germany in confident mood

However, Weghorst cut a frustrated figure during training on Sunday, despite getting on the scoresheet in his country’s victory.

Evening Standard reports that The former Manchester United striker went to ground after being caught by a challenge from Timber, with the session paused as he held his foot in pain.

Weghorst limped towards the Arsenal defender and exchanged words, forcing Koeman to come over and attempt to calm the situation. Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke also seemingly urged Weghorst to move on.

However, as the forward continued to complain about the challenge, Koeman shouted, “And now it’s over”.

Footage shows the 32-year-old walking away from training by himself, with his team-mates still on the pitch, as he got on a bike and cycled away while on his phone.

It remains to be seen whether Weghorst is involved against Germany after Koeman already confirmed that Ajax’s Brian Brobbey will start, despite Joshua Zirkee impressing against Bosnia and Herzegovina, as he scored his first international goal.

“Zirkzee did very well, but I discussed this with them beforehand,” Koeman said.

“I want to see both strikers from the start and the choice of why Joshua starts today and Brian on Tuesday is mainly to do with the opponent.

“We hope to be dangerous in the transition against Germany. I want to see them both but ultimately you want to have a regular striker.”

It remains to be seen the outcome of the clash as both are considered important by Ronald Koeman
