Tottenham players and staff have been impressed by their first week working with Ange Postecoglou with the Aussie improving the atmosphere at the training ground after a miserable end to last season.
Postecoglou has already switched up how training is done at the club with around 20 players currently back and working under him until the big names such as Harry Kane and others return following an extended break because of international duty. So far, he’s had players such as Hugo Lloris and Yves Bissouma as well as given renewed opportunities to Tanguy Ndombele and Bryan Gil, who both spent last season out on loan. Ndombele had been forced to train with the U23s under Antonio Conte but it’s said Postecoglou is much more open to him returning to the first team fold.
- However, Postecoglou still keeps his stars at a distance, and the Evening Standard reports that there hasn’t been any change to that around the Spurs training facility, despite this week’s talk among players in Lennoxtown about how Brendan Rodgers is much more personal and willing to have a friendly relationship with his Celtic players.
