West Ham United mean business this summer – that much is clear and obvious to see now.
The last 24 hours have been incredibly intense for the West Ham fans, but extremely exciting all the same!
Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui began the summer transfer window by signing Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.
And he’s now on the verge of bringing Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez to the London Stadium.
A deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka is bubbling along in the background as well, as Lopetegui and Tim Steidten ruthlessly work their way to making West Ham a proper outfit.
West Ham, are clearly on the way to becoming a real problem for other teams in the Premier League this season.
It’s just so refreshing to see us move with authority and efficiency in the transfer market, rather than leaving everything until the last minute and shopping around for ‘the best value deals’.
And now, the Hammers are said to be lining up a move for yet another signing this summer…
After crazy 24 hours, West Ham eye Richard Rios signing
So Colombia international Richard Rios is now firmly on the Hammers’ radar this summer it seems.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Hammers want to sign the 24-year-old midfielder from Palmeiras this summer.
The Hammers have already signed a player from the Brazilian side this summer in the form of Luis Guilherme.
So the powers that be at the London Stadium should have a fairly good relationship with their owners.
The 13-capped Colombia international is a central midfielder who possesses bundles of energy and is an incredibly aggressive player, similar to Edson Alvarez in that respect.
That said, he is far more attacking than the Mexican in the way that he plays.
He is technically proficient and has very good stamina levels. I personally think he’s perfectly built for the Premier League.
£12 million for a player with the Palmeiras star’s ability in this day and age sounds like very good value to me.
However, whether West Ham really need to sign Richard Rios as well as Guido Rodriguez remains to be seen.
