Aaron Cresswell shares exactly what David Moyes told the West Ham players at half-time vs Wolves

Aaron Cresswell shares exactly what David Moyes told the West Ham players at half-time vs Wolves. Aaron Cresswell has lifted the lid on what David Moyes told the West Ham United players during the half-time break of the Wolves clash.

David Moyes actually brought Aaron Cresswell on for West Ham in the second-half, after Jarrod Bowen left the field of play due to an injury – one that doesn’t appear to be too serious thankfully.

The first-half and second-half performances from the Hammers were like night and day. We were nowhere near the levels needed inside the first 45.

However, the introductions of Michail Antonio and Ben Johnson at half-time, and then Cresswell 10 minutes or so later really helped swing the momentum in our favour.

Aaron Cresswell shares what Moyes told the West Ham players at half-time.There was much more energy, desire, commitment and front-foot football on display from the West Ham players after the half-time break.

It’s frustrating that we didn’t see that from kick-off but kudos to Moyes for mixing things up. What did the Scot tell his players during the break though?

The 34-year-old left-back really impressed when he replaced Bowen after 54 minutes at Molineux – a move that allowed Emerson Palmieri to operate further forward.

Every player clearly received the hairdryer treatment from Moyes at half-time, but what did he actually say to them?

Cresswell has lifted the lid on exactly that, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

Aaron Cresswell shares what Moyes told the West Ham players at half-time

“We were really sluggish in the first half. We couldn’t get to grips with the game, and the boss told us that at half-time. It was night and day in the second period, though. We kept the ball and were a threat going forward, we got the goals and we could have had another.”

I’m sure that David Moyes would have been extremely animated in the Hammers dressing room at half-time.

The poor team selection and tactics were down to him, but the players still need to take more responsibility than they are doing at the moment.

The second-half display proves that they all have the fire in their bellies still, and that’s a really good thing to know heading into the final five or six weeks of the campaign.

It would just be nice if Moyes started setting up like he did in the second-half straight from kick-off.

Aaron Cresswell shared what the West Ham gaffer told the players at half-time and it clearly made a big difference. Now lets start seeing it from the off please.
