‘A-STAR’ WEST HAM PLAYER NOW INTERESTED IN LONDON STADIUM EXIT AS VULTURES CIRCLE

West Ham United striker Michail Antonio is now showing a mutual interest in a move to Saudi Arabia as Pro League sides start to target his transfer for the January market.

The 33-year-old has been out of action in recent weeks after sustaining an injury while away on international duty. But Antonio has spent his time on the sidelines considering where his long-term future now lies. And it appears that he no longer believes it is at London Stadium.

Reports by 90min now suggest that Antonio would be open to accepting a transfer to Saudi Arabia in January. The West Ham striker is a target for the Pro League with division chiefs in admiration of his talents. It is not suggested what team it would look to place Antonio with.

West Ham eye a replacement for Michail Antonio amid Saudi interest

West Ham are aware of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Antonio’s future in claret-and-blue. So, the Hammers also intend to sign a striker in the upcoming market to avoid leaving David Moyes light. He has started Antonio in 11 of his 12 Premier League outings this term.

Antonio fell to Moyes’ bench for the first time this season in his most recent appearance at home to Nottingham Forest. The Irons boss felt it was time for a change after Antonio, who Paolo di Canio calls ‘fantastic’, failed to score over his eight outings since the end of August.

Michail Antonio has not scored a Premier League goal since August

Antonio scored his two goals so far this season during West Ham’s second and third games of the campaign. He helped the Hammers seal 3-1 wins over Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion. But the 12-cap Jamaica international has since gone 590 minutes without scoring.

Yet despite Antonio’s goal drought, only Jarrod Bowen (9), Tomas Soucek (4), James Ward-Prowse and Mohammed Kudus (3) have outscored the 33-year-old in the Premier League with West Ham this season. So, Moyes will need to sign a replacement if Antonio departs.
