Talks moving ‘fast’ as West Ham United line up £16m+ Ibrahim Osman transfer
Talks are moving quickly between West Ham and Nordsjaelland over a possible January transfer deal for Ibrahim Osman, after a £13.6million bid was rejected, according to Ben Jacobs.
The talkSPORT journalist reported via his Twitter account that it would likely take a bid of around £16.2million with add-ons to get this deal over the line at the London Stadium.
With talks moving fast and new bids being made, it seems like only a matter of time until the Hammers can get a deal over the line for the 19-year-old.
Talks progressing quickly
Updates are emerging seemingly by the hour about this move, as the Hammers are pushing to get it over the line as soon as possible alongside a deal for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips in a busy end to the transfer window at the London Stadium.
Osman is a product of the Nigerian Right to Dream academy, who have a partnership with FC Nordsjaelland, and is the same academy Mohammed Kudus passed through before his move to Ajax and eventually to West Ham.
If that is anything to go by, Hammers fans should be excited at the prospect of this deal, as if the addition of an exciting young winger wasn’t already enough to look forward to this month.
Osman has played 16 games so far this season, scoring one goal and picking up four assists, and with the high transfer fee associated with this deal, David Moyes will be hoping he can contribute effectively to his team upon his arrival while also growing and improving under his guidance.
