West Ham United manager David Moyes has apparently opened talks to sign a lethal striker this month. David Moyes is reportedly keen to sign a proven striker for West Ham United in the January transfer window.
One forward who is firmly on the radar of the Hammers is Serhou Guirassy, and it is believed that he has a release clause in his contract that means we’re able to sign him for around £15-17 million.
Moyes currently has his entire first choice front-line unavailable for selection with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta out injured and Mohammed Kudus away at AFCON with Ghana.
In addition to that, Michail Antonio is also not expected back until the middle of next month at the earliest.
So signing someone like Guirassy this month will be vital to our hopes of maintaining our impressive start to the season…

The Hammers are now believed to be in talks to sign the prolific Guinea international hitman.
I think that Guirassy would be a truly superb signing for West Ham, and I reckon he’d score a bundle of goals for us.
The 27-year-old has been on fire in Germany this term, with 19 goals in 16 games to his name so far (Transfermarkt), and is behind only Harry Kane in the Bundesliga goal scoring charts.
The striker described his form as unbelievable this season (Reuters), and he’s not wrong.
He is strong in the air, an incredibly powerful runner, has pace to burn and is an elite finisher. West Ham signing Serhou Guirassy for just £17 million in the January transfer window really should be an absolute no-brainer.
The Stuttgart centre-forward would take us to a whole new lethal with his strength, finishing ability and threat in behind.
If Moyes is to sign the striker this month, he had better do it as soon as possible, with our next Premier League game coming in a week’s time.
