Transfer reporter Rudy Galetti exclusively told Hammers News recently that ‘West Ham have asked Chelsea for information’ on signing Broja in the January transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino recently made it clear Chelsea must look to sign a striker in January. Although the Blues boss has started to backtrack on those demands amid reports he could face the sack.
Broja was given a start for Chelsea in the win over Fulham on Saturday. But the perennial Hammers target struggled badly and was substituted in the second half.
While Broja worked hard, his performance was so abject it prompted renewed calls for Chelsea to sign a striker.
So Hammers News suggested to our man inside the club that now may be a good time to try and get the 22-year-old out of Stamford Bridge.
The response was very interesting indeed.

‘Moyes liked him but Chelsea ask too much’
The contact stated that David Moyes has indeed been a big fan of the player.
But Broja’s performances and Chelsea’s skewed valuations in the transfer market likely make any deal a non-starter for West Ham.
“He’s (Broja) not done it recently,” the top source inside West Ham said.
“But the manager DID like him.
“Chelsea pay too much and ask too much and some of their players are just on too high a wage.”
Earlier this week a reporter claimed West Ham were interested and Broja would be open to a move.
But this likely puts paid to any chance of that happening.
Unless of course there is a dramatic change in the situation between now and the end of the month.
