‘While they negotiate’… Fabrizio Romano says Spurs are working on another deal alongside Timo Werner
The January transfer window has really kicked into gear at Tottenham on Saturday morning.
The north London club are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Timo Werner, and that’s not the only deal Daniel Levy and co are working on this weekend.
Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs continue to work towards the signing of Radu Dragusin alongside Werner, despite the fact that Napoli appear to be closing in on that move.

The Werner deal seems to be the hottest story out of Spurs right now, but it appears as though the Dragusin deal isn’t slowing down either.
In all honesty, the Dragusin move should probably be higher on Spurs’ list of priorities.
Tottenham are desperate for a new defender as they continue to struggle with injuries at the back, and while Heung-Min Son will be away from the club for a month, they’re still fine in terms of numbers in the attack for the time being.
Of course, Werner coming in will help Spurs’ attacking depth during this period, but the gaping hole in the centre of defence is a more pressing issue at this moment in time.
Regardless, it looks like both Daniel Levy and Johan Lange are going to be very busy over the next few days looking to finalise the details and thrash out negotiations on both of these deals.
It may only be the beginning of January, but it almost feels a bit like deadline day at Tottenham as two deals are being worked on at the same time.
Whether or not either Werner or Dragusin end up joining Spurs this month remains to be seen, but it is positive to see that Tottenham are so active in their pursuit of new signings this winter.
