Ange Postecoglou now calls up 19-year-old youngster to Tottenham first-team training ahead of Nottingham Forest match
Ange Postecoglou has called up Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jahziah Linton to first-team training ahead of the Nottingham Forest clash.
Tottenham will be hoping to build on a positive result against Newcastle as they travel to the City Ground tomorrow evening.
Spurs were without a win in five games before thrashing the Magpies 4-1 in North London over the weekend.
It’s no secret that Ange Postecoglou has had several injuries and suspensions to deal with of late, which has led to other players getting an opportunity.
Indeed, youngsters Alfie Dorrington and Jamie Donley were amongst the substitutes on Sunday, with the latter making an appearance from the bench.
Donley made his debut against Manchester City earlier this month and Postecoglou has already shown he’s willing to hand younger players an opportunity.
And it seems the Aussie boss has handed Jahziah Linton a chance to impress in training this week.

Linton called up to Tottenham first-team training
In a video on Tottenham’s official YouTube channel, the Spurs squad were being put through their paces ahead of tomorrow’s game.
Linton was spotted amongst the group and was involved in a small-sided game in training.
The 19-year-old was part of a group that involved several first-team players, including Giovani Lo Celso, Oliver Skipp and Emerson Royal.

Linton has made a total of 39 appearances for Tottenham’s academy sides and mainly operates as a left-back.
The Englishman penned a professional contract with the club back in April. He’s yet to make his debut for Spurs but will only benefit from training alongside Postecoglou’s squad.
While the pathway to the first-team was far from clear under the likes of Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, things seem to be different under Postecoglou.
The Aussie places a huge emphasis on trusting his players, regardless of their age.
Indeed, the likes of Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr have featured regularly for Tottenham this term.
It should also offer other youngsters hope that Donley made his debut this month, while several other academy products have made matchday squads.
