“A huge blow” – Tottenham expert confirms ‘star player’ is going to be out for six weeks

“A huge blow” – Tottenham expert confirms ‘star player’ is going to be out for six weeks In-form Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore has become the latest to suffer an injury.

Tottenham expert John Wenham recently confirmed that the ‘star player’ has picked up a calf injury whilst on international duty and is set to be out for upto six weeks of action.

And now, Wenham has told Tottenham News just how big a loss the injury is for the Spurs youth team.

He compared losing Moore to be the equivalent of the first team losing James Maddison.

    He said:“

Moore has no doubt been the star player for the Under-18s this season, he is now going to be out for six weeks, so that’s a huge blow.

“The FA Youth Cup third-round tie away at Brentford is coming up on Tuesday 5 December, so to be without Moore for that game is such a kick in the teeth because I thought this team would go very far in the Youth Cup this year.

“Losing Moore is the equivalent of the first team losing James Maddison, he is that important.”

Regarded as one of the most promising players in Tottenham’s academy, Moore primarily operates as an attacker, often occupying wide positions on the pitch.

And the 16-year-old has been sensational this season, scoring 8 goals and assisting another 5 in 7 games for the U18s.

His absence is a massive blow for the Academy with their FA Youth Cup 3rd round tie to be played on 5 December.

Meanwhile, the first-team secured an important point at the Etihad as they drew 3-3 against Manchester City.

Son, Lo Celso and Kulusevski were among the goals for Tottenham.
