In his latest update for Football.London, Alasdair Gold shared how impressive Parrott has been of late, but revealed the 21-year-old couldn’t prevent his side from avoiding defeat despite his best efforts.
Gold claims Parrott has been “stepping it up to a new level” recently at Excelsior, and has “pushed himself into the starting lineup” for the Eredivisie side, with four goals and two assists in his last eight games.
A 4-2 defeat to Feyenoord at the weekend may have been a disappointing result for Excelsior, but Parrott managed to shine regardless.
He may have “missed an early chance” but Parrott “made no mistake” soon after with a fine left-footed finish. Parrott later “played a calm, clever pass” to his teammate to make it 3-2 but it was ultimately all in vain.
