Yves Bissouma has told Japhet Tanganga on his Instagram story ‘miss you’ after the Tottenham defender secured a deadline day move to FC Augsburg.
The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour at Tottenham in recent times, especially under the stewardship of the club’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham posted on Twitter that Japhet Tanganga has moved out on loan to German side Augsburg and there is a ‘conditional obligation to make the deal permanent next summer’.
With Spurs bringing in a new centre-back this summer in Micky van de Ven, it just pushed Tanganga further down the pecking order.
Other than when Jose Mourinho was in charge, he really hasn’t been able to get going in north London and this is the right move for the player.
Upon hearing the news of Tanganga’s exit, midfielder Yves Bissouma posted the following message via his Instagram story. “Miss you too, fam,” said Bissouma. “All the best there and see you soon. My soldier.”
Tanganga deserved better at Spurs
Given the troubles Spurs have had at the back over the years and how they have declined, then Tanganga deserved a lot better and more game time.
If the Spurs academy product was given the game time the likes of Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez have been given, then he would have produced better performances than those two.
But that’s not going to happen now, with Tanganga having the chance to showcase Spurs what they are going to miss out on.
