Nottingham Forest look set to win the race to sign Victor Nelsson from Galatasaray this summer. The player has been the subject of interest from Tottenham this summer too.
According to Turkish outlet Aksam, the Reds are moving quickly to try and wrap this deal up. Nelsson will cost the Reds £16 million with a further £2 million coming in the way of add-ons.
The Danish defender has made 10 appearances for the national team and at just 24-years-old, he’s being tipped for a bright future in the game.
Forest target Nelsson has been with Galatasaray since 2021. He checked in from FC Copenhagen and before that, he played for Nordsjaelland. The central defender has made 82 appearances for the Turkish outfit. Now, he could be preparing to leave the club; with Forest seemingly in pole position to sign him.

Takvim have revealed that Fenerbahce are now ready to challenge Galatasaray in the race for Tanguy Ndombele’s signature.
It has been reported widely over the last couple of weeks that Tottenham are now listening to offers for Ndombele, with the North London club alleged to have made up their mind to cut their losses on the Frenchman (The Evening Standard). Multiple sources from Turkey have reported over recent days Galatasaray are in talks with Spurs about the 26-year-old (Sabah).
Fenerbahce now making advances for Ndombele
According to Takvim, cross-City rivals, Fenerbahce are now trying to hijack a move for Ndombele after Galatasaray failed with multiple efforts to sign the Spurs star.
The report says that Fenerbahce have now contacted Spurs over a deal for the midfielder, with the Lilywhites making it clear to them that the player is on the shop window.
It is explained that the club then sent a loan offer for the former Lyon man with an option to make the deal permanent next summer.
However, Tottenham allegedly informed Fenerbahce that they do not wish to loan Ndombele out again and are only looking to sell the midfielder outright.
I am quite surprised that more clubs have not shown interest in Ndombele this summer. While the midfielder did not set the world alight at Napoli, he certainly did well enough to turn a few heads. I certainly expected a few more Italian sides to vie for the 26-year-old’s signature.
