Potter starts with 20y/o ace in one change – Predicted West Ham line-up v Leicester City

West Ham United will be aiming to make it two wins in a row in the Premier League when they take on Leicester City on Thursday night at the London Stadium.

The Hammers returned to winning ways last week after beating Arsenal 1-0 away from home. It was their first win in five league games, and they now have a good opportunity to build strong momentum with another win at home.

This has been a disastrous campaign for West Ham as they sit 16th in the league table. While they are in no danger of getting relegated, the fans will feel that the club is heading in the right direction if they move close to the top half of the table.

West Ham remain without Vladimir Coufal and Lucas Paqueta for this game. Paqueta suffered an ankle injury during training, and he has been ruled out for tonight’s clash against the Foxes.

Coufal missed the previous game against Arsenal and the home loss to Brentford with a hamstring strain.

This fixture may have come too soon for him, but both players are likely to play against Newcastle United next week.

Apart from these two, West Ham do not have any fresh injury concerns. However, Potter is still short of options at the top, with the club missing the likes of Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, and Michail Antonio.

Teenage left-back Ollie Scarles made his full league debut at Arsenal and earned rave reviews from his manager. He could be handed another start ahead of Emerson.

This is also an ideal opportunity for Potter to start with Evan Ferguson, who joined from Brighton on loan during the January window. The 20-year-old striker made two cameo substitute appearances, and he is now ready to start against Leicester.

Predicted West Ham starting XI: Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Kilman, Todibo, Scarles, Soucek, Alvarez, Ward-Prowse, Bowen, Kudus, Ferguson.
