£84k-a-week West Ham player has reportedly instructed his agents to find him a new club

It really is all over for Niclas Fullkrug at West Ham now as he makes new transfer demand. Niclas Fullkrug has been absolutely terrible for West Ham United since making his £27.5 million move from Borussia Dortmund six months ago.

The thinking behind signing Niclas Fullkrug for West Ham, or the lack of it, has to be properly scrutinised behind the scenes at the London Stadium. He was actually heavily linked with an early exit from the Hammers in the January transfer window, but ended up staying with us in the end.

We can’t afford to make any more mistakes like that in the transfer market over the next few years, and I’m sure we won’t with Graham Potter at the helm.

Things went from bad to worse for Fullkrug at the start of January, when he pulled up with a hamstring injury during our FA Cup clash with Aston Villa. The injury is set to keep him out of action until early April at least. It seems like the end could be nigh for Fullkrug at West Ham.

He is now actively taking steps to end his Hammers nightmare.

It really is over for Niclas Fullkrug at West Ham now

The Germany international experienced numerous injury problems during his time out in the Bundesliga.

The fact that his record of 453 days spent on the sidelines through calf, cruciate ligament and ankle problems since the start of the 2019/20 season was overlooked is honestly baffling.

Now the decision to sign him has really come back to bite us. Fullkrug’s days at the London Stadium are numbered, there’s no doubt in my mind about that.

According to West Ham website KUMB, the striker instructed his agents to find him a new club back in December. So with that in mind, he’ll almost certainly be off in the summer transfer window.

That is if we are able to find a buyer for him!

Signing Niclas Fullkrug was a disastrous move from West Ham

Fullkrug, who earns £84k-a-week at West Ham (Salary Sport), has endured a terrible time at the London Stadium. The 32-year-old is nowhere near the levels required to play Premier League football.

He’s far too slow and injury prone to lead the line for the Hammers.

Tim Steidten’s decision to bring his fellow countryman to the London Stadium has backfired badly. It was a poorly thought out call from our former director of football, and one that probably cost him his job in the end.

Hopefully West Ham are able to sell Niclas Fullkrug as soon as the summer transfer window opens in just a few month’s time. However, in order for that to become possible, the former Borussia Dortmund man will have to show some decent form for us towards the end of the season, when he returns from injury.
