Watch: What Spurs fans did when Son and Ange approached them shows they’ve had enough

Tottenham’s struggles in the Premier League continued with a disappointing 3-2 loss to Everton at Goodison Park, sparking outrage among their travelling supporters.

The match got off to a nightmare start for Spurs, as Everton capitalised on defensive vulnerabilities to devastating effect.

Idrissa Gueye was instrumental, delivering two key assists within the opening 30 minutes.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring, followed by Ndiaye’s powerful finish, leaving Tottenham reeling. The first half ended disastrously for the visitors, as Archie Gray’s own goal handed Everton a commanding three-goal advantage.

Despite a late comeback attempt in the second half, Spurs fell short. Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison managed to find the back of the net in the final stages of the match, narrowing the gap, but it wasn’t enough to salvage a point.

Tottenham posted an xG of 1.11, significantly lower than Everton’s 2.03, highlighting the home side’s efficiency in the decisive first half.

This defeat marks Spurs’ fifth loss in their last six league outings, dropping them to 15th place and alarmingly close to the relegation zone than the top half.

The frustration of the fanbase was evident after the final whistle, with boos and jeers filling the air.

A viral pitchside video captured the squad, led by captain Heung-min Son, apologising to the disgruntled supporters while enduring abusive chants from sections of the crowd.

While injuries to key players like Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, and Rodrigo Bentancur have severely hampered the team, losing to a 16th-placed Everton side has intensified scrutiny on Ange Postecoglou’s tactics and leadership.

Tottenham’s inability to secure results against struggling teams is a growing concern.

With the club’s position in the league becoming increasingly precarious, the pressure on Postecoglou to reverse this downward spiral is mounting.
