West Ham bringing brilliant loanee back to the club in January transfer window would be exciting. The upcoming January transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham United.

The January transfer window will be a good chance for West Ham to get rid of some of the deadwood, and to bring one or two top-class players into the London Stadium.

Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten oversaw some pretty poor business in the summer, in spite of how good the window seemed to be at the time.

As a result, Lopetegui is now in danger of losing his job, but four points from our last two games seems to have given him some time.

If the Hammers are to improve going forward, the Spaniard has to find a way of getting the players to gel together better as a team.

West Ham United’s Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui gestures on the touchline during the English Premier League football match between Bournemouth an.

It would really help if one or two new signings were made to fix problem positions as well.

However, we might not have to sign anyone per se…

West Ham must bring loanee back in January transfer window

The Hammers have to make some big moves in the market this winter. However, if the money isn’t there to strengthen in numerous different positions, West Ham may have to think outside the box.

And in my opinion, we should be doing everything possible to bring Freddie Potts back to the London Stadium in January. Now, I don’t actually know if it’s at all possible.

I’m not sure if the Hammers owners included a recall clause in Potts’ loan deal to Portsmouth. ut if they did, then bringing him back to the London Stadium this winter should be an absolute no-brainer.

Portsmouth boss John Mousinho has been absolutely raving about Potts this season.

One thing we are desperately lacking as a team right now is real pace and power in the middle of the park.

West Ham have a real deficiency when it comes to energy, athleticism and ball-carrying ability in the engine room.

Potts would bring all of those qualities to the team in abundance.

The 21-year-old is a real powerhouse in the middle of the park. He’s a tenacious tackler and has the fitness to get up and down the pitch for the entire 90 minutes.

The loan to Portsmouth has obviously worked wonders for Potts this season.

In 14 Championship outings for Pompey, Potts has averaged 2.1 tackles, one interception and one clearance per game (Who Scored), so he’s clearly playing a key role for his team

However, we actually need him back now!

West Ham must go all out to bring the 21-year-old midfielder back to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

I really do feel like he would transform the way we play.
