Final nail in Lopetegui’s coffin as terrible news emerges for West Ham ahead of Bournemouth clash

Final nail in Julen Lopetegui’s coffin as terrible news emerges for West Ham ahead of Bournemouth clash. West Ham United head to the vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday.

Julen Lopetegui is under real scrutiny right now, and West Ham‘s win over Wolves in the Premier League on Monday did little to ease the pressure on his shoulders.

The Hammers board are said to still be very concerned about Lopetegui’s ability to turn things around at the London Stadium.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. The Spaniard has looked like a deer in the headlights on the touchline this season.

He lacks any kind of charisma, and has failed to implement any kind of footballing identity at the London Stadium.

Lopetegui should have been sacked a long time ago but here we are with him still at the helm.

However, he is clearly walking on very thin ice, and his Hammers tenure could well be over very soon indeed…

Terrible news emerges for West Ham ahead of Bournemouth. The win over Wolves on Monday night was much-needed, but the performance was completely unconvincing. Jarrod Bowen carried us over the line with a moment of magic, but we’ll need to see much more from the rest of the team against Bournemouth.

However, the Hammers face an uphill task if we are to leave the south coast with a positive result.

The Premier League have confirmed that Chris Kavanagh will officiate our game unfortunately.

West Ham have plenty of history with the 39-year-old Greater Manchester-born ref, and most of it is bad.

He’s been involved in some hugely controversial decisions when officiating our matches in the past.

West Ham have plenty of history with the 39-year-old Greater Manchester-born ref, and most of it is bad.

He’s been involved in some hugely controversial decisions when officiating our matches in the past. Then back in 2021, there was the ludicrous decision he made when Fabian Balbuena was sent off during our defeat at home to Chelsea.

The Hammers lost 1-0 to the Blues, and that decision cost us dearly in the hunt for Champions League football.

West Ham desperately need a win against Bournemouth on Monday night.

That will be an incredibly difficult challenge as it is.

However, our task will be even harder with Chris Kavanagh officiating the game in my opinion.

And a defeat against the Cherries could well end up being the final nail in The coffin for the hapless Lopetegui.
