‘He has to’ Major Hn exclusive on Lopetegui future from top spokesman at West Ham

Major exclusive on Julen Lopetegui future from top spokesman at West Ham. Hammers News brings you a major exclusive on the future of Julen Lopetegui from the top spokesman at West Ham.

The day has arrived for West Ham to welcome Manchester United in the Premier League. A match dubbed ‘El Sackico’ given the pressure Julen Lopetegui and Erik ten Hag are under at West Ham and Man United.

So much has been said and written about the Hammers and Lopetegui this week. After the 4-1 thrashing at Spurs pundits, journalists, sources and fans have had their say on West Ham’s beleagured head coach.

Claim and counter claim has been made. Lopetegui pleaded with the owners to judge his work in May after a big rebuild in the summer.

The West Ham hierarchy then delivered a ‘vote of confidence’ via board source Sean Whetstone. No sooner had that been issued than a journalist close to Tim Steidten in Germany claimed Edin Terzic had been put on standby to be West Ham’s new boss if the axe were to fall on Lopetegui.

Journalist claims West Ham boss has three games to save job

Reports in England described the Hammers as a circus.

One even laid claim to the fact there is unrest in the West Ham dressing room with players ‘unconvinced’ by the manager. Another top manager was linked with the Hammers job just yesterday.

And the spectre of out-of-work Graham Potter has also loomed in the background. Technical director Steidten has even come under fire from a journalist close to West Ham’s owners.

They say there’s never a dull moment at West Ham and this week has proved it. Perhaps the biggest claim came just yesterday, though.

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, said to be close contact of Steidten, reported that Lopetegui has been told he has three games to save his job. Major exclusive on Lopetegui future from West Ham. Plettenberg also stated West Ham have replacements lined up.

With star player Mohammed Kudus banned, it’s hardly been the ideal preparation for a massive game like Man United. So Hammers News reached out to the most senior source close to the owners for some clarity.

Now we can bring you a major exclusive on the future of Lopetegui from the top spokesman at West Ham. We put it to the undisputed top source that there are claims of unrest and of Lopetegui having three games to save his job.

    The response was emphatic.

And West Ham’s owners are standing steadfastly behind the head coach. Hammers standing behind Lopetegui. “We are right behind the manager,” the West Ham spokesman told Hammers News.

“He has to use his vast experience in the game to get better results.”

West Ham have made it abundantly clear there will be no knee jerk reactions. The idea Lopetegui has three games was also dismissed with the start of the new year deemed a more realistic stage to assess West Ham’s position and progress – or lack thereof.

There is no denying West Ham are in a dreadful position right now. There is a small gap between the 16th placed Hammers and the bottom four.

But results this weekend mean the highest West Ham can go would be 13th with a 2-0 win over Man United.

What’s dearly needed is back-to-back victories to push the Hammers up the table.

Defeat against Manchester United will not cost Lopetegui his job. But it may cost Ten Hag his. So West Ham must look to play on that to really get the Lopetegui era up and running.
