Mirror.co.uk reports that Rob Holding has removed almost every reference to Crystal Palace from his Instagram account after being frozen out of the club.
Holding joined Palace from Arsenal last year, but made just one appearance for the club in their 3-0 Carabao Cup third round defeat to Manchester United. The 28-year-old did make the bench last month for Palace’s 2-0 loss to Westham, but was left out of the squad for the trip to Chelsea the following week.
“We will talk together – he knows the reason. But it is something that stays between Rob and me. Nothing public
Holding has fallen further down the pecking order at Palace this summer following the additions of Chadi Riad, Maxence Lacroix and Trevoh Chalobah and the former Gunners defender has now unfollowed the club on Instagram and deleted all but one post involving referencing them.
Palace have yet to pick up a win this season, but Glasner is feeling positive after his side picked up their first point with a draw against Chelsea ahead of the international break. “An absolutely positive point with all the circumstances, coming here after two defeats in the PremierLeague,” he said
“But then coming back after one or two adaptions at half-time, with the spirit, with the belief, with the togetherness, I’m really delighted with the performance today. The first-half, we didn’t find the opportunities where they are.
“In the second-half, we did it much better. We were in very good shape so they didn’t find space. We knew they won’t always want to play in our pocket, it was once or twice. Then we struggled a little bit, but overall we did a really great job.”
