“Being considered” | Moyes’ potential new managerial job following West Ham departure

David Moyes’ rumoured next job will prove whether or not West Ham were right to get rid of him.

Despite on paper doing everything a manager of West Ham could possibly do to be considered a legend, David Moyes still remains extremely controversial amongst the East London faithful. A large amount of the fan base feel like he was actually given too long as manager, and Moyes clearly feels like he wasn’t given long enough.

While it’s somewhat understandable that the Scotsman feels like he should have been given more respect for what he achieved, he does seem to completely disregard his shortcomings and this results in him coming across as arrogant at times.

With that being said, the fact that some people try to discredit what he has done for the club is ludicrous. The fact he took the club from relegation destined to European champions in just three-and-a-half seasons is one of the remarkable achievements in football.

Thankfully for him, he may have the opportunity to prove his doubters wrong and show what level of manager he truly is.

According to Football Insider, Moyes is being considered as a potential replacement for Sean Dyche at Everton. Obviously, Merseyside is where he made himself known as a well respected manager but the job he’d have on his hands is arguably bigger than the one he had either time when he joined the Hammers.

This current squad the Toffees have is one of, if not, the worst they’ve ever had and keeping them up is going to be a real struggle for any manager. They’ve recorded their worst ever start to a Premier League season so it’s safe to assume that Dyche is walking a tightrope.

If Moyes could turn that sinking ship around then it truly would be remarkable.
