Dynamite’ – Jamie Redknapp says West Ham have an unreal player on our hands. Jamie Redknapp was on punditry duty for the West Ham vs Aston Villa clash yesterday, and he admitted that he’s a huge fan of one of our players.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp was actually critical of our performance as a whole, but he did take time to praise one individual West Ham player. Julen Lopetegui kicked off his West Ham tenure with a defeat against Aston Villa, and there are plenty of things he and his players need to work on this week.
I think he should have started more of his new signings, rather than put his trust in players like Vladimir Coufal and Michail Antonio, who have consistently let us down over the past 12 months.
That said, there were some positives for the Hammers fans to take away from the game. And one of the them was the stunning performance of one West Ham player in particular…

Lopetegui has a truly incredible squad of players at his disposal at the London Stadium.
The Spaniard is under huge pressure to get results this season, after the money he’s spent this summer. However, he had numerous top-class players amongst his ranks already, before he brought any new faces into the club.
Mohammed Kudus is far and away our best player as far as I’m concerned, and he was in fine form against Aston Villa. Redknapp absolutely raved about the Ghana international, when speaking on Sky Sports (August 17th, 8:07pm).

He said, “Yeah, dynamite. I thought towards the end of last season, playing against Man City, some of the things he did in there… He has got tremendous skill, strength. In the second half, he came to life. He is going to be one of the stars of the season.”
The scary thing with Kudus is that left wing isn’t even his best position – he’s far better out on the right or centrally. The former Ajax man, 24, has so much talent, and he clearly has the talent and potential needed to go on and become world-class.
Keeping him at the London Stadium certainly won’t be easy, but the owners and Lopetegui just have to do everything possible to match his ambition. Jamie Redknapp shared just how highly he rates the West Ham forward, and I’m sure everyone reading this will agree with the Sky Sports pundit’s sentiments.
