Fullkrug touches down for medical then plane takes off again for very exciting reason

Niclas Fullkrug has touched down in London for his West Ham medical and then the plane took off again for a very exciting reason.

After claim and counter claim from various sources there was official word on West Ham’s move for Niclas Fullkrug today.

A top West Ham insider claimed Fullkrug had flown to London to complete a move on Friday.

But while a jet was ready to bring the German striker to east London, it proved a false dawn as the 31-year-old was pictured in Switzerland training with the German giants that afternoon.

That raised doubts among some West Ham fans as to whether a deal would be done.

There were even claims it was part of an elaborate ruse to try and force Aston Villa to sell Jhon Duran to the Hammers.

Fullkrug touches down for West Ham medical

West Ham’s move for Fullkrug is no joke, though.

Borussia Dortmund released a statement on Saturday morning revealing he had been allowed to leave their training base ‘for talks with another club’.

The German club’s technical director also explained the status of Fullkrug’s talks with West Ham.

West Ham fans are scarred from transfer collapses down the years – some of them at the 11th hour.

Hammers supporters are too long in the tooth to start celebrating a player’s arrival just yet.

But now Fullkrug has touched down for his West Ham medical and the plane takes off again for a very exciting reason.

Hammers plane takes off again for very exciting reason

According to West Ham insider Sean Whetstone, Fullkrug landed at Biggin Hill in a private jet arranged by the Hammers.

The Euro 2024 star was then picked up by a black Mercedes to be taken to West Ham.

No sooner had the plane touched the runway, though, than it was up in the air again.

And Whetstone claims it is now on its way to Seville to pick up West Ham’s next signing – Guido Rodriguez.

“The private jet that bought in Niclas Fullkrug from Zurich to Biggin Hill has just taken off again,” Whetstone said.

“This time on route to Seville, which just happens to be the closest airport to Real Betis and Guido Rodriguez.”

Exciting times for West Ham United

The news comes after West Ham exclusively told Hammers News this morning the club were hopeful of a ‘good weekend’ as they close on Fullkrug, Argentina World Cup winner Rodriguez and Crynsencio Summerville.

With Summerville set to complete a triple whammy of signings for West Ham, excitement at the club is reaching fever pitch.

The club also stated to Hammers News that next step will be to ‘crack on’ with the signing of Man United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Some fans have questioned the deals for Fullkrug and Rodriguez as they are both over 30.

But the Hammers are putting together a nice mix of experience and young talent.

Luis Guilherme is just 18 while Summerville is 22.

Max Kilman is a good age at 27 and Wan-Bissaka is another in that range at 26.

Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten are putting some team together.
