West Ham have reportedly fallen behind in the race for a pacey striker. While it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the deal go through still at some point, West Ham and Aston Villa are currently at a standstill with neither side willing to budge on their valuations of Jhon Duran.
As a result, the Hammers have started looking at other targets, with some top quality options being considered. Out of the bunch, one of the most exciting forwards is Karim Adeyemi.

Although he’s not quite hit the heights expected of him since joining Borussia Dortmund. Even then, his pace and versatility make him absolutely deadly, and the fact he’s only 22-years-old makes him even more desirable.
Unfortunately, according to reports in Italy, West Ham are far from the favourites to secure his signature as Serie A giants Juventus is the only club he wants to move to.

If this is the case, this is becoming a worrying pattern that West Ham’s targets simply don’t want to join the East London side. Is it that they’re not doing enough to convince, that the lack of European football is putting them off, or is it that they’re being too ambitious? In reality, it’s probably a mixture of all three, but the recruitment team need to find a way around it, and fast.
