The report does not mention the transfer fee that is needed to complete the deal, but it says that Corinthians expect that the player could leave the club in the summer.
Everton are also interested in signing the striker, while an unnamed Saudi Pro League club is ready to offer £16.7 million for his signature.
West Ham need to wrap up deals quickly
The Hammers have been checking a lot of options but they have not been able to broker a deal for their major targets.
They have had bids for Duran rejected and it is not clear whether the Hammers will return again with another bid. Duran, however, still wants to move to West Ham.
Bolstering the forward department is a priority for the Hammers (along with adding depth at the back) and they should look to sign Alberto as he would be a relatively cheaper option.
The 23-year-old striker managed to score 17 goals last season for Corinthians. Considering his age and quality, it makes sense for the Hammers to invest in the striker.
Wolves wanted to sign him previously but the deal didn’t materialise. West Ham are now ready to submit an opening bid, and they will hope that an agreement could be reached for the striker.
