West Ham vs Wolves: Preview, predictions and lineups. West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers meet in their third 2024/25 pre-season friendly each this weekend in the United States.

The Hammers drew with Hungarian side Ferencvaros in their opening friendly before beating National League outfit Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 last time out. Andy Irving’s second-half strike was the difference between the two teams at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Wolves have won both of their pre-season friendlies, kicking off with a 3-0 victory over Championship Bristol City. Their second friendly came against newly-promoted Serie A side Como, but it turned out to be a controversial affair after Hwang Hee-chan reported hearing racist abuse from one of the Como players. Daniel Podence was sent off for throwing a punch shortly after the incident.

There will be a reunion with Wolves for new West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui and recent defensive recruit Max Kilman, who both prepare to face their former employers. The latter should start at centre-back, with fellow summer signings Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham also likely to earn minu

    tes.

West Ham are missing a few of their star performers who are recovering from international tournaments, including Jarrod Bowen and Alphonse Areola. However, the likes of Mohammed Kudus and James Ward-Prowse are available.

West Ham predicted lineup vs Wolves

West Ham predicted lineup vs Wolves (4-3-3): Fabianski; Casey, Zouma, Kilma, Cresswell; Potts, Ward-Prowse, Irving; Kudus, Ings, Cornet.

Wolves have the majority of their first-teamers available to them for the clash with West Ham, with a number of the club’s summer signings likely to earn more minutes. Rodrigo Gomes and Jorgen Strand Larsen both featured in the 3-0 win over Bristol City last time out.

Matheus Cunha and Hwang got on the scoresheet during that victory and will be aiming to take their productive 2023/24 form into the new season.

There will be opportunities for young players too, with the likes of Luke Cundle, Joe Hodge and Hugo Bueno all possibly getting some game time.

Wolves predicted lineup vs West Ham

Wolves predicted lineup vs West Ham (4-3-3): Bentley; Doherty, Toti, Dawson, Ait-Nouri; Doyle, Lemina, Bellegarde; Sarabia, Cunha, Hwang.

West Ham vs Wolves score prediction

West Ham and Wolves will get some valuable minutes under their belt this weekend and it should be a competitive clash between two evenly matched sides. Friendlies tend to throw up high-scoring affairs and that could be the case in Florida.

Both sides have plenty of attacking quality and there should be some interesting duels across the pitch, with Kilman asked to stifle his former teammates in the heart of the West Ham backline.

    Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Wolves
