West Ham offer swap deal to Premier League club after missing out on Euro 2024 striker. West Ham have reportedly launched an audacious swap deal with a Premier League rival after missing out on a striker who featured at Euro 2024.
The Hammers are once again looking to sign a centre-forward this summer with Julen Lopetegui keen to solve West Ham’s striker curse once and for all, with a number of options being looked at in this window.
One such option is Girona attacker Artem Dovbyk, who was the top goalscorer in La Liga last season and has since been linked with the likes of West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham, though a move to England now looks unlikely.
Yet West Ham have moved quickly to make an offer for another striker. West Ham launch player + cash offer to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran
According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham have offered £30m plus an unknown young player in an attempt to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, who is set to leave Unai Emery’s side this summer.

🚨⚒️ Understand West Ham have offered £30m plus one young player as part of the deal for Jhon Durán.
Negotiations ongoing with Aston Villa to reach an agreement.
Romano said on the deal: “Understand West Ham have offered £30m plus one young player as part of the deal for Jhon Duran. Negotiations ongoing with Aston Villa to reach an agreement. West Ham also asked about Artem Dovbyk situation in the recent days but now it’s between Atletico and Roma.”
Despite impressing last season, Duran has been identified as a player who Villa are willing to cash in on this summer, with the Colombia international also attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea.
Indeed, West Ham are clearly keen to bring the former Chicago Fire wonderkid to east London this summer, and with an ambitious offer now out there for Duran, time will soon tell if Villa are willing to offload the youngster to the Irons.

Duran could be the answer to West Ham’s striker problem
West Ham’s problems in the striker position are the thing of myth at this stage, with the Hammers not having a reliable goalscorer leading the attack for what feels like forever.
Which is why the signing of Duran will come across as an exciting one for supporters, with the youngster a player who could finally solve West Ham’s issues in the front-line for many years to come.
Indeed, Duran showed last year that he has the quality and the potential to become a real star in the Premier League, and West Ham know that they could have a real talent on their hands if they can reach an agreement with Villa.
