Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been speaking after the win at QPR today and has moved to clarify the injury situation with Lucas Bergvall.
Postecoglou saw his side run out comfortable winners against QPR in what will have felt like good preparation for him ahead of the new season.
A stunning goal from Yves Bissouma and then a second from Dane Scarlett ensured a comfortable afternoon for Spurs.
However, there was some worry when it came to new signing Lucas Bergvall, who appeared to pick up an injury and was withdrawn as part of that process.
However, speaking after the game, Postecoglou has appeared to play down the issue.
Ange Postecoglou clarifies Lucas Bergvall injury at QPR
Speaking to the media in the immediate aftermath of the game, the Aussie boss has hinted that it doesn’t look too serious for the young Swede.
“Just a bit sore, I don’t think it was anything significant,” Ange said.
Further, Alasdair Gold also shared a picture of Bergvall with Postecoglou at full-time, with the midfielder getting a playful tap off his new manager.
Tottenham are looking ahead to the new season and are keen to build on a decent first season under Postecoglou.
Bergvall is thought to be high in their plans and he has already impressed in pre-season so far.
Quite what the injury to Bergvall is, remains to be seen.
But as is the fear with any pre-season game, there is always an edginess about whether or not a new signing will make it through unscathed.
Bergvall is one of the more exciting young players around at the moment and alongside Archie Gray, is expected to feature heavily for Tottenham next season.
