Writing on their website (16 July), the news outlet reports that the German international held talks with new manager Nuri Sahin who told him he wants him to leave Signal Iduna Park.
Adeyemi’s representatives have held talks with West Ham, Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle about a potential move to the Premier League this summer, although it’s unclear where his preferred destination would be currently.

If Tim Steidten has made one thing clear to Hammers fans since coming into the club, it’s that he knows how to close a deal if it’s there to be closed.
The club were able to sign the likes of Max Kilman, Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus despite big competition from elsewhere, and the likelihood is that they would face similar battles to sign Adeyemi.
But the 22-year-old is very keen on regular game time and his best bet would be to get that at the London Stadium if he were to move to England, such is the way the squad is currently made up.
West Ham have held talks about signing Karim Adeyemi.
His ability to play centrally or on either wing would help Julen Lopetegui to shuffle the pack too in certain situations, and there is money to spend with interest in several other forwards mooted.
Steidten has good relationships in Germany so this is a deal he will have an advantage in, and with Adeyemi told he can go the deal is there to be done. So it’s on Steidten to do just that.
