West Ham Remain Focused in Transfer Hunt: West Ham United are expecting some movement in the transfer market as early as this week, Claret & Hugh has learned.
Obviously, all eyes today will be on the Hammers’ first pre-season friendly against Ferencváros. However, Tim Steidten and his recruitment team are busy working behind the scenes to get some signings over the line.

C&H spoke to a top club source late last night in an effort to cut through some of the transfer speculation of the past few days. There appears to be so many rumours linking West Ham with moves for wingers that we asked the club directly if that was a priority position.
This messaging has not wavered from what the club told this website at the very start of the transfer window, which was that centre back and centre forward were the priorities for this summer. We were also the ones to break the news that Tim Steidten was in Brazil looking for promising young players before the Bayer Leverkusen game last season.

West Ham may still be in the market for another winger; however, if the club says that a striker is next on the transfer hit list, then I’d be inclined to believe it.
Whilst West Ham understandably refuses to discuss the names of players they’re close to signing, I would certainly not rule out a deal for Jhon Duran if Aston Villa can lower their valuation.
