Michail Antonio makes brutally honest admission about West Ham United campaign. Antonio has given an honest assessment of what could be his final season in a West Ham United shirt.
Speaking on BBC’s The Players Channel [15 May, 05m 17s], Antonio said he doesn’t think he has contributed enough for West Ham this season, as David Moyes departs the club to be replaced by Julen Lopetegui.
The Jamaica international has scored just six goals and provided two assists in the Premier League so far this season, but has scored 82 times in over 300 appearances across nine years for the club, and received a rapturous ovation when substituted against Luton Town at London Stadium on Saturday. It may well be his final home game for the Hammers.
“I haven’t scored enough goals or got enough assists,” Antonio said.
When excused by the presenters over his injuries, the forward responded: “I don’t care about that, mate.
“I should be getting 10 goals as a minimum per season.” Michail Antonio, West Ham legend. Regardless of maybe not meeting the high standards Antonio can be credited as upholding for himself, he can be proud of a stellar career.
The 34-year-old previously said he wanted to retire at West Ham, but may look at options elsewhere to continue his playing career yet.
Antonio progressed from a full-back in his young professional days, upfield to a winger and eventually to a central striker in East London.

Since 2021 he has carved out his international career with Jamaica and currently has three goals in 14 caps, having also hit his double-figure aim in each of the last four seasons, a career-best 14 last year in the triumphant Conference League-winning season.
