‘Watch this space’ – King reacts as Fabrizio Romano shares update on Tottenham-linked sensation

Bryan King believes Tottenham could yet make a future move for Roony Bardghji after Fabrizio Romano provided an injury update on the Swedish wonderkid.

The ex-Spurs scout feels that any clubs interested in the 18-year-old will have to move on to different targets this summer.

It comes after Romano shared via X (2 May) that Bardghji has torn his ACL and will be out of action for the next six months.

But King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – hasn’t ruled out Spurs making a move in the future.

“He has a club, he is under contract with FC Copenhagen,” King said.

That injury is not a good one, the handling of it has moved on for the better from my days, but it is still a blow for a young player to suffer from that.

“He is young enough that he will come back from this, but any clubs who were looking at him, including Tottenham, will have to move on to the next young player on their lists.

But we shall watch this space and see what happens next season when Bardghji is fit again as Tottenham could make a move for him then.”

Tottenham could yet make a move for Roony Bardghji

Clubs around Europe will be interested to see how Bardghji reacts to this latest injury setback.

A lot of players struggle after ACL injuries, and Tottenham would need to see what kind of figures FC Copenhagen brandishes if they enter future talks.

Should a discount be on offer considering the severity of the injury, that might be something that appeals to Daniel Levy.

However, for now, it looks as if Bardghji won’t be going anywhere, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the 18-year-old will never be seen in a Spurs shirt.
