Mohammed Kudus throws a big spanner in the works as David Moyes sack talk gathers pace

Mohammed Kudus has just thrown a big spanner in the works regarding the future of David Moyes at West Ham United.

David Moyes brought Mohammed Kudus to West Ham from Ajax back in the summer in a deal worth around £38 million.

The 23-year-old has proven to be an absolutely sensational addition for the Hammers, with 13 goals and four assists in 41 games in all competitions to his name so far (Transfermarkt).

He has been so good in fact, that Liverpool allegedly want to sign him to replace Mohamed Salah this summer.

Kudus has been like a breath of fresh air since he joined West Ham, and I honestly believe that he will continue to get better and better with every week that passes.

The Ghana international has been the standout player for us this term, alongside Jarrod Bowen, and without him I reckon we would be inside the bottom half of the table.

Moyes is already being tipped to leave West Ham this summer. I suspect that he’d be gone already had Kudus not been playing for us this season.

However, the former Ajax man has just made some really interesting comments on the gaffer…

Mohammed Kudus weighs in as David Moyes sack talk gathers pace

The Hammers attacker has just said something about Moyes that might interest the Hammers fans.

Kudus responded when asked directly about his manager, when speaking on the the BBC’S Football Focus:

“He helped me to settle in. I didn’t start playing straight away. He took his time to integrate me properly into the group. Definitely he has helped me and all the players. He has a lot of coaching experience, and a young guy like me I definitely need that experience and help.”

Well, well, well. Kudus is clearly a very big fan of Moyes, and that might just change the landscape regarding the Scot’s future.

Will the Hammers owners see Kudus’s comments on Moyes and think, ‘wait a minute, he may well be the right man to take us on into an exciting new area after all’.

I certainly hope not. The way I look at it is that the Ghanaian was hardly going to start criticising the Scot when he was speaking to the BBC was he?

I still firmly believe that the 61-year-old Hammers boss will leave the London Stadium when the 2023/24 season ends.

However, the comments from Mohammed Kudus on David Moyes might just change some fans’ opinions of the Scot.
