Controversial pundit shares who new Liverpool manager will be, it’s curtains for West Ham – view

Richard Keys shares who will be the new Liverpool manager and it’s curtains for West Ham – view

Richard Keys has made a claim about who the new Liverpool manager will be and it’s really bad news for West Ham United.

Jurgen Klopp will be leaving his role as Liverpool manager at the end of the season, and Richard Keys has made a claim about who could take over from the German at Anfield.

Unfortunately for West Ham, it’s really bad news for us.

David Moyes is under real pressure in his role as Hammers boss. Despite the fact that we’re currently sitting in seventh spot in the Premier League table and have a Europa League quarter-final clash with Bayer Leverkusen to look forward to next month, the Scot still has his detractors at the London Stadium.

The general consensus at West Ham is that if we don’t finish inside the top seven and/or win the Europa League, Moyes will be moved on, or he may well walk away from the club himself.

If we are to make genuine progress as a club, we need a young, forward-thinking manager with fresh ideas to take us forward into a new era.

Unfortunately for us though, our dream appointment could be Liverpool bound…

Richard Keys shares who will be the new Liverpool manager

When Klopp leaves, Liverpool will undoubtedly replace him with one of the very best managers on the planet.

One of the names on Liverpool’s list is a reported target for West Ham as well.

Xabi Alonso is being eyed for the Hammers job, somewhat ambitiously it must be said. However, his relationship with our director of football Tim Steidten means that it’s not a complete pipe dream.

That said, it seems as though our dream of appointing the Bayer Leverkusen boss could be over already. That’s because Richard Keys has shared that Alonso will be the next Liverpool boss, when writing on his weekly blog:

“Deschamps? Yes. Zidane? Yes. I was laughed out of court at the back end of last year when I said they should go and get Alonso – agree a deal with his ‘people’ and guarantee him five years to get it right. My critics said ‘No. what’s he done? It’s too soon’. Really? Well 3 months on it’s not too soon for Liverpool to have got him to agree to become their next manager. As I always say when I share news like this – these big deals can always go wrong. There’s a lot to go wrong when they’re blue riband, whether it’s a player or coach/manager involved, but my information is that Alonso has decided on Liverpool.”

Alonso is making serious waves in the game with the incredibly attractive style of play that he has implemented at Leverkusen.

I would absolutely love him to replace Moyes at the London Stadium at the end of this season.

That seemingly won’t be happening now though, after Richard Keys made the bold claim that Xabi Alonso will most likely be the new Liverpool manager this summer.
