Well, the Northern Ireland U21 international was named in the squad for the trip to Marbella by Oliver Glasner – along with other academy products in David Ozoh, Kaden Rodney, Franco Umeh and Danny Imray.
Devenny was filmed scoring a powerful header past Remi Matthews in training, which left Eze visibly open mouthed in shock as Jean-Philippe Mateta put his head in his hands.

The context of the situation is hard to decipher, as the moment sprung up around the 1:15 mark of an interview with Glasner.
Presumably, Devenny scored the winning goal in a training exercise, as many players are gathered behind the goal, some celebrating while others are visibly anguished.
Who is Justin Devenny?
Some may not have heard much about Devenny, so let’s take a closer look.
The Northern Irishman joined Crystal Palace from Airdrieonians back in August 2023 – having previously risen through the ranks at Kilmarnock – and primarily operates in a central midfield role, making six appearances in that position this season.
Devenny has also played as a central defender on one occasion – and in defensive midfield once – with one game even seeing him pop up on the left, as shown by Transfermarkt.
