Crystal Palace have begun a new era and we are beginning to see reports point toward a busy summer, now an incoming has been tipped.
Oliver Glasner will be keen to strengthen his Crystal Palace side this summer with several weak spots to manage.
This rebuild which Glasner is bound to be keen on completing will be tricky, but could be funded by big-money sales.
One thing which could be impactful is whether Dougie Freedman remains in his position or not, amid links with Manchester United.
Freedman is an expert at finding talented players at bargain prices and now Palace have been linked to a potentially excellent purchase that Freedman has had his eyes on for a while.
Crystal Palace keen on Bright Osayu-Samuel
Crystal Palace are already making plans for this summer and now a report in Turkey from Aksam has claimed that Bright Osayi-Samuel is back on the agenda this summer.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international is the target of a four-way race for his signature. Palace are one interested team while they’re joined by Wolves, Leeds United and Ligue 1 side Rennes.
Osayi-Samuel has been impressive this campaign which explains the high level of interest, with his name being a long-term target for Palace.
If he is to be looked at this summer, Palace will be hoping to make the most of the right-back’s relationship with Eberechi Eze with the No.10 saying that Osayi-Samuel is like a brother to him.
Should Crystal Palace sign Bright Osayi-Samuel?
Osayi-Samuel has enjoyed an excellent season for Fenerbahce and has racked up three goals and an assist in the Super Lig.
These come from his position as a right-back, but the fact he is a right-back could go against his chances of linking up with Eze.
Palace signed Daniel Munoz in January and he has so far been impressive which could be a factor in the club deciding against making a move to sign another right-back this summer.
However, Munoz has no backup and this could be a move to add competition for the right wing-back position. Ultimately, it does make little sense for Palace to prioritise this deal when there are several more important positions to fill.
That being said, with all the big money sales that could occur this summer, Palace could look to strengthen with Osayi-Samuel, considering he has also played on the left at times.
