Crystal Palace ‘do not give up’ in attempts to sign defender – Eagles ‘expected to knock on door’ in summer
Crystal Palace’s interest in Fenerbahce fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel is today again covered by the Turkish media.
Fanatik shares a story which first recalls that the London side had already tried to sign the 26-year-old in the winter window, and saw their offer be declined by his club.
It’s now said Crystal Palace haven’t lost their interest in Osayi-Samuel, and as they ‘do not give up’, they’re ‘expected to knock on their door’ this summer.
Despite making it clear that the Eagles threaten to take the player in a few months, Fanatik does not bring any details about how much it’d take to sign him from Fernabahce.
The Turkish club spent just €500k to sign Samuel from Queens Park Rangers back in 2021, and right now, Transfermarkt values him at €8.5m.
Back in January, when Crystal Palace’s interest in him was reported, it had been said that at least €10m would be needed to convince the Istanbul side.
In case the Eagles couldn’t match that price back then, they should now get more prepared to match the demands and finally get the signing done.
