Lucas Paqueta speaks out ahead of Brentford, David Moyes won’t be happy with him one little bit
West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta may well be fit to face Brentford tonight, but David Moyes might not be happy with him at all.
David Moyes has been unable to call upon Lucas Paqueta over the past six or seven weeks, after he picked up an injury during the West Ham vs Bristol City FA Cup clash.
Moyes spoke to the media on Friday, and gave nothing away when discussing whether or not the Brazilian could return to action for our clash with Brentford this evening.
The Hammers have seriously missed the 26-year-old during his absence, and we need him back as a matter of urgency.
West Ham have been lost at times without Paqueta’s ability to keep hold of the ball and his creativity and guile inside the final third.
Moyes will be absolutely desperate for the play-maker to return, with his job said to be on the line right now.

The thing is, Moyes is, and always has been, obsessed with keeping his team injury news cards extremely close to his chest.
The Scot never gives anything away to opposing teams and their managers, and often likes to keep them guessing.
So with that in mind, I’m sure David Moyes will not be happy that Lucas Paqueta has completely given away to Thomas Frank and his players that he’ll be back tonight.
I guess you could argue that it’s a bluff from the Brazilian, and he just means he’ll be at the London Stadium to cheer on his teammates. I really don’t think that’s the case though.
I fully expect Paqueta to be in the squad tonight, and Moyes will obviously be delighted if he is. However, the Scot may not be quite as happy with the fact that Brentford can now plan for Paq man’s return.
