West Ham United transfer news as Nayef Aguerd summer decision made
West Ham United are ready to spend big on a new central defender, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.
Nixon reported via his Patreon on Sunday (25 February) that the Hammers could cash in on current centre-back Nayef Aguerd, who could be sold abroad.
The journalist added that David Moyes’s scouts are putting a quick and tough defender on their wanted list for next season.

Aguerd has impressed during his time in East London, and it would certainly seem like a strange decision for the powers that be at the club to lose him so soon.
He has formed a strong partnership alongside Kurt Zouma, with the Hammers enjoying a relatively successful Premier League campaign so far amid the presence of the duo at the back.
The club have also been flying high in the Europa League, with a round of 16 meeting with SC Freiburg incoming after the Hammers topped their group.
