22-year-old West Ham man reportedly could be set for surprise move to France before deadline day

£4.2m West Ham man could be set for surprise move to France before deadline day. It is looking increasingly more likely that one West Ham United player in particular will leave the club this summer.

West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui has overseen a truly magical summer transfer window for West Ham so far.

The Most Ridiculous Sponsors In World Football

The Hammers boss wants even more new arrivals though, and is demanding two top-class players in every single position. However, the Spaniard must shift some of the deadwood first this summer, before he can make that happen.

There are plenty of fringe players who should be moved on before the 11pm transfer deadline on Friday night. In addition to those, there are some players lingering around the under-21s that just aren’t good enough to be at West Ham.

And one of those could well be sent packing from the London Stadium this summer.

West Ham man Luizao linked with exit

What a bizarre signing the Brazilian defender has proven to be by Lopetegui’s predecessor David Moyes. His time at the London Stadium appears as though it could be very short-lived indeed.

Brazilian football journalist Bruno Andrade has claimed that clubs in France and Belgium are chasing the signing of Luizao from West Ham this summer.

The Hammers apparently want around £4.2 million for the 22-year-old centre-back – a player we signed for absolutely nothing back in January 2023.

West Ham rejected bids for Luizao back in the January transfer window, but now it seems like we’re very keen indeed to move him on.

That said, the Hammers are clearly not entertaining insulting offers, and recently rejected a £2.5 million bid for the centre-back from Brazilian club Corinthians.

After joining the Hammers on a free transfer from Sao Paulo, he is still yet to make a senior appearance for the club.

However, he did show some promising signs for the under-21s at times last season.

He showcased his aggressive and tenacious tackling, and proved that he is extremely combative in the air.

That said, it’s clear that Luizao isn’t anywhere near being ready to play first-team football for West Ham – Julen Lopetegui would have given him a chance during pre-season if he was.

Hopefully we will be able to sell him to a club in France, Belgium or Brazil this summer for a decent fee.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was absolutely brilliant for West Ham United, during his debut for the club against Crystal Palace.

West Ham signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United earlier this summer for around £15 million – a fee so cheap that Jamie Redknapp actually could not believe it.

Despite concerns that the transfer wouldn’t go through, Fabrizio Romano always insisted that Aaron Wan-Bissaka would be a Hammers player in the end.

The 26-year-old right-back became the eighth summer signing made by Julen Lopetegui, and the West Ham head coach resisted temptation to throw him in from the start against Aston Villa last weekend.

And then it was a huge shock when the former Crystal Palace and Man United man was omitted from the starting lineup for the clash with the Eagles.

The West Ham fans were utterly baffled that th new-boy wasn’t named ahead of Vladimir Cou
