£12m player now has his name removed from private box at stadium after links to West Ham

What has happened to Kieran Trippier’s private box at Newcastle United after links with West Ham. There has now been an interesting development involving Kieran Trippier after the Newcastle No.2 was linked with a move to West Ham.

West Ham are said to be very keen on signing Trippier – according to the Telegraph – with the England international on Tim Steidten’s radar at the London Stadium.

Kieran Trippier loses private box at Newcastle amid West Ham rumours. Joel Bland has now revealed that the 33-year-old has seen his name removed from his private box at St James’ Park, which suggests he is on the verge of leaving Newcastle.

Trippier strangely featured in the 1-1 draw between Newcastle’s U21 side and Sunderland’s U21s on Monday night after being left on the bench by Eddie Howe in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Southampton.

That was said to be a personal choice from the right-back, so he may be keen to keep his fitness levels high ahead of his next move.

Trippier has also just been replaced as team captain on a permanent basis by Bruno Guimaraes, another strong indication that the man from Bury is close to leaving the Magpies.

The England international only has 11 months remaining on his contract, so if Newcastle fail to sell him this summer, they risk losing their £12m man for nothing in 2025.

Julen Lopetegui may have moved on

When the Telegraph’s story first broke, West Ham were yet to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka and were facing difficulty in luring the Londoner away from Manchester United.

However, that £15m deal has since gone through, so while Julen Lopetegui may not be averse to still signing a player of Trippier’s experience in a bargain deal, it is also possible that West Ham no longer want a new right-back.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the defender appears to be moving somewhere as we enter the final days of the summer transfer window.

West Ham are working hard to trim their squad after adding eight new signings this summer. The West Ham owners have reached into their pockets to back new manager Julen Lopetegui with a new-look squad.

But the dressing room at the London Stadium is now slightly overcrowded and the Hammers are looking to offload several players before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August.

Lopetegui was criticised for not starting his new signings in the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend, but the Spaniard will soon have no choice with multiple first-team players set to leave.

With Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo now signed, West Ham are ready to sell a handful of defenders at the club with Kurt Zouma, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Vladimir Coufal all facing an uncertain future.

The Hammers have also made Luizao available this summer just 18 months after he joined the London outfit. According to Globo, West Ham have now agreed a one-year loan deal for Luizao with Brazilian side Corinthians.

The loan agreement has been reached and the report adds that they are now discussing “the values and percentages of the purchase option that will be fixed in the contract”.

Luizao set for West Ham exit

Luizao was signed by David Moyes as an exciting young defender who could potentially progress to the first-team.
